St John’s Town of Dalry, commonly known as Dalry, is a village in Dumfries and Galloway located 16 miles north of Castle Douglas and sits in an area known as the Glenkens. The Town Hall is situated at the heart of the village and is on the Southern Upland Way. Originally built in 1859, the hall underwent a full upgrade in 2007.

The Town Hall is a unique venue which can accommodate a wide range of activities and can be hired for most private and family functions.

Dalry Film Club and Dalry Live Events take place at Dalry Town Hall. The film club screens films programmed by the community monthly throughout the year on a Wednesday evening. Run by volunteers the team set up and run the films using inbuilt screen and equipment at the hall. This group have run 3 live arts events with touring acts including Scottish world music group Samson Sounds, stepdance and Canadian folk from Newberry & Verch and a performance from the local choir the Cairn Chorus.
